Congratulations on your admittance the Mexican American Catholic College, and welcome to your new learning community! The Office of Degree Based Programs has organized the following details to help you prepare for your first semester at MACC. After you review everything and complete the associated forms, contact our Dean of Students If you have any questions, concerns, or suggestions.
Let’s get started.
Apply for Aid
If you haven’t already applied for financial assistance, or if you need more information, just visit our Scholarship and Tuition Assistance page.
Set-up Housing
Need housing? MACC offers cozy on-campus dorms, which are available on a first-come-first-serve basis. So that MACC staff can greet all new residents, first-time arrivals should be scheduled between 12:00 pm (noon) and 5:00 pm, the afternoon before class begins.
Submit your Travel and Housing Form as soon as you finalize your itinerary. For more information, you can contact our Director of Housing and Campus Operations or just visit our website.
Contact your Advisor
As an admitted student, you have now been assigned a Populi account, and your maccsa student email account is to be assigned after you submit your RSVP to Orientation (below).
Populi Account. Populi is MACC’s student information and learning management system. It’s where you can access your schedule, transcript, course(s) and similar information. If you don’t remember receiving an automatic system notification to create a password, check your junk mail or contact us for help.
Student Email Account. MACC assigns an email account to all students after admission. Your MACC email account is powered by Microsoft’s Office 365. All correspondence with administration, staff and faculty will be via your MACC email. It’s important to monitor this email as you would your personal email address. This account also includes Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, and additional classroom tools.
You can use either account to contact the Dean of Students about your program of study and course registration.
Attend Orientation
Make plans to attend MACC’s mandatory New Student Orientation on August 23. This event is designed to launch your successful academic formation by answering any questions you have and providing helpful information about our programs, services, and resources. You should RSVP by August 10.
