This year’s 2024 Deacons Gala was a testament to the dedication and love that our deacons bring to their ministry. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all our honorees, sponsors, guests, and everyone who made this evening special. A special thank you to our Gala Deacon Chair, Deacon Ramón and Mrs. Marta Figueroa, and to the Suniga family for honoring the late Deacon Francisco Suniga, who remains forever in our hearts. We also celebrated Deacon Richard Neville’s remarkable 50 years of diaconate service. Your support helps bring faith, hope, and love into a broken world. MACC Deacons Gala Chair
Deacon Ramon and Mrs. Marta Figueroa
Born and raised in Puerto Rico, Dr. Figueroa received his Undergraduate degree in Pre-Medicine at the Mayaguez Campus of the University of Puerto Rico.
Dr. Figueroa served his country as an Officer in the United States Air Force before making his home in San Antonio, Texas.
Dr. Figueroa holds a master’s degree in Pastoral Ministry. A desire to serve the community has been a focal point in his life.
As a board certified, Family Practice physician, Dr. Figueroa has been providing patient care to San Antonio’s senior population since 1994 and is presently the Chief Medical Information Officer for WellMed Medical Management, Inc.
Through his servitude, Dr. Figueroa is relentless in his desire to bring innovation through technology to the hands of clinicians across this country.
