Weaving Cultures –
Entrelazando Culturas

The Mexican American Catholic College (MACC) in San Antonio, Texas, invites you to take part in Weaving Cultures ~ Entrelazando Culturas – a program featuring intercultural resources for congregations. This program will provide educational and formational experiences, consultative and coaching services, and specially designed resources for international congregations of women religious who are intentionally responding to the opportunities and challenges of growing cultural and generational diversity in their communities.

Congregational teams were selected on the basis of the following criteria:
• Diversity: Participant teams should refl ect the diversity of the Church and your congregation including varying cultural, racial and ethnic backgrounds; nationality; language; and a range of ages.
• Leadership and Infl uence: 1 member elected to congregational leadership, 1 member responsible for formation and/or vocations, 1-2 emerging leaders in your congregation. Recognized leaders are persons who reach others; influence attitudes, ideas and behaviors; or shape dialogue, discernment and decision-making.
• Commitment to the 2-year learning covenant: participation in 4 residential programs at MACC and follow-up coaching sessions. (Residential programs are 3 full days of presentations, group work, reading material and assignments, etc.)

El Mexican American Catholic College (MACC), en San Antonio, Texas, te invita a formar parte de Weaving Cultures ~ Entrelazando Culturas, un programa que ofrece recursos interculturales para las congregaciones. Este programa proporcionará experiencias educativas y de formación, servicios de consultoría y asesoría, y recursos diseñados especialmente para congregaciones internacionales de mujeres religiosas que están respondiendo intencionalmente a las oportunidades y desafíos de la creciente diversidad cultural y generacional en sus comunidades.

Los equipos congregacionales se seleccionaron en base a los siguientes criterios:
• Diversidad: Los equipos participantes deben refl ejar la diversidad de la Iglesia y su congregación incluyendo la diversidad de antecedentes culturales, raciales y étnicos; nacionalidad; idioma; y una variedad de edades.
• Liderazgo e Infl uencia: un miembro elegido para el liderazgo congregacional, un miembro responsable de la Formación y/o vocaciones, uno o dos líderes emergentes en su congregación. Los líderes reconocidos son personas que llegan a los otros; infl uyen sus actitudes, ideas y conductas; o modelan el diálogo, el discernimiento y la toma de decisiones.
• Compromiso con el convenio de aprendizaje de 2 años: participación en cuatro programas residenciales en MACC y sesiones de asesoría de seguimiento. (Los programas residenciales son 3 días completos de presentaciones, trabajo en grupo, lectura de materiales y tareas, etc.)
