A Prestigious History
In San Antonio
The Mexican American Catholic College, a pioneer in bilingual higher education with an emphasis in pastoral and Hispanic ministry, welcomes a diverse group of students. Priests, seminarians, deacon candidates, and religious, who are often sent by their Bishops and superiors, and lay leaders, including international students, attend and acquire academic and leadership formation for effective service in the Hispanic community.
MACC students with Hispanic ministry formation and an intercultural literacy can create programs to benefit, empower, and educate others within their own communities, thus improving the lives of Catholics and non-Catholics alike. To that end, with its geographic accessibility and competitive tuition, MACC serves the unmet needs of the Church, especially in communities designated by the USCCB as mission dioceses.
I took Intensive Pastoral Spanish and greatly enjoyed the course. It was immersive, the teaching style was very personal since it was a small class setting and I loved that our teacher really focused on making sure we understood everything before moving to the next topic. I would highly recommend taking this course to anyone who is looking to learn the language or to anyone who is involved with ministry.
