A Forum of the First-Ever Study of International Sisters in the United States

Hosted by the Mexican American Catholic College (MACC), this presentation focused on findings from the first-ever study of international sisters in the United States. The Trinity Washington University/Center for Applied Research in the Apostolate (CARA) study found over 4,000 sisters from 83 countries on 6 continents serving here in the U.S. We will discuss pathways that brought the sisters here, contributions they make, and challenges they face, The co-authors will concluded with recommendations based on the analysis of their survey and interview data. This forum took place on January 20, 2018 at the MACC campus. Read an article about the forum published in the San Antonio Express News and written by Sr. Martha Ann Kirk, CCVI.
