ADMISSIONS COUNSELOR

Summary:
MACC invites qualified applicants for the position of Admissions Counselor. The Admissions Counselor espouses the mission of MACC by providing comprehensive admissions and support services, demonstrating professionalism in these efforts. As the designated primary point of contact for new applicants to MACC’s certificate and degree programs, the Admissions Counselor demonstrates exemplary communication skills and provides exceptional customer service. Working closely with the Recruitment & Enrollment Coordinator, the Admissions Counselor supports the five pillars of the work of the Office of Student Affairs: Recruitment, Admissions, Enrollment, Registration, and Graduation, in addition to supporting advising and other initiatives and events executed by the Office of Student Affairs. The Admissions Counselor demonstrates a comprehensive understanding of all programs offered by MACC. COORDINATOR
Description:

Summary:
The Coordinator provides strategic, implementational, administrative, and clerical support to the Project Director for Children’s Initiatives at MACC as well as to the Associate Director of Lifelong Learning. The Coordinator supports the directors with the day-to-day operations and workshop implementation of the projects, ensuring accurate execution of complex administrative processes and effective service to partners and stakeholders.

FACULTY PROJECT COORDINATOR

Summary:
MACC invites qualified applications for the grant-funded position of Project Coordinator of Stabilitas: Renewing Rural Ministry. The coordinator will also serve as Professor of Practical Theology (open-rank), teaching two courses per semester while managing the project. This five-year grant aims to build the capacity of rural dioceses to invest in the formation of permanent deacons and lay ecclesial ministers, in partnership with Saint John’s School of Theology and Seminary (SOT/Sem).
Directly supporting the Director of the Stabilitas project at Saint John’s SOT/Sem, the principal responsibilities of the Project Coordinator include collaboration with representatives of partner dioceses, assessment of formation needs throughout the upper midwestern states, curriculum and/or program design, and assessment of best practices for ministerial accompaniment. The position requires administrative coordination, managing all subgrant budgets and activities, supporting recruitment for MACC and Saint John’s collaborative ministry formation programming, and providing annual reports to the Lilly Endowment, Inc. Seasoned experience in lay ecclesial ministry formation, and/or diaconal formation, as well as immersive ministry experience in multicultural, rural settings, is preferred.
As a faculty member, the coordinator will also teach 2 courses per semester in MACC’s core curriculum. Teaching assignments will depend on one’s area of specialization but may include Moral Theology, Catechesis, Spirituality, Pastoral Care and Mental Health Ministry, Intercultural Competencies, and/or Rural Ministry. The total teaching assignment will be no more than four courses distributed between fall and spring semesters.
Reporting directly to the Academic Dean while working closely with the Senior Director of Programs, the coordinator will advance the ecclesial mission of MACC and Saint John’s School of Theology and Seminary, contributing to the growth of their programs at a national level.

ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR

Summary:
The Associate Director in the Institute for Lay Ecclesial Ministry and Service works with the Director in offering well rounded formation programs for those serving and/or discerning to serve as lay ministers in the Archdiocese of San Antonio. The Associate Director oversees daily activities of various formation programs: Parish Ministry Formation, Lay Ecclesial Ministry Formation, Acolyte & Lector Formation, and Catholic School Teacher Formation. The Associate Director is a key member of a team that promotes a culture of formation (human, academic, pastoral, and spiritual) among the laity while fomenting its value among the clergy. This team member accompanies participants at all levels of their formation journey. The Associate Director performs all duties and responsibilities in alignment with the mission, vision and values of MACC as well as those of the Archdiocese of San Antonio.

PART-TIME TEACHING FACULTY 2026-2027 ACADEMIC YEAR

Summary:
MACC invites qualified and experienced candidates for Part-Time Teaching Faculty in Pastoral Theology and Ministry. The successful candidate will be prepared to teach one or more courses relating to contemporary ministry in the Roman Catholic tradition. Available teaching assignments for AY 2026-2027 may include Homiletics, Intercultural Competencies, Systematics, Hispanic Ministry in the 21st Century, and Scripture.
Adjunct faculty members are hired to teach on a per-course basis during the Fall and Spring semesters and are limited to teaching a maximum of 6 credit-hours hours per semester. Please note: for certain courses, e.g. Homiletics, MACC may require the candidate to be a member of the ordained Roman Catholic clergy.
