A Letter from the President

About MACC > A Letter from the President

Arturo Chávez, PhD.

Welcome to your Alma Mater, the Mexican American Catholic College! Thank you for choosing MACC to be the place where you will grow intellectually, spiritually, and socially.

You follow in the footsteps of other pioneers who decided to study at MACC in 1972 when it first opened as a Cultural Center to prepare leaders for ministry to Hispanics. Now, as Hispanics become the majority of U.S. Catholics, MACC steps out in faith again to provide biliterate higher education that will empower Hispanics and other leaders to serve in the culturally diverse Church and society of the 21st century. You will help make this vision a reality!

As you arrive on campus, you will experience firsthand what makes MACC so special – our dedicated faculty, our beautiful campus, and the biliterate curriculum that is truly unique in the country. Our goal is to journey with you in an educational odyssey that will integrate faith and knowledge. We are committed to providing a student-centered environment, where faculty will work closely with you to achieve your educational and professional ministry goals.

This website explains our undergraduate and continuing education programs, admission requirements and support services available on campus. Please know that my door is always open to you. The MACC faculty and staff are excited you have joined our learning community! We hope you will discover what thousands of alumni have found at MACC – cross-cultural conversion and communion!
